Council is seeking feedback from residents in the vicinity of Murray Street on the proposal to extending the existing No Parking along the bend on Murray Street.

Council has recently received correspondence from residents highlighting ongoing difficulties in driving along Murray Street, primarily attributed to the narrow road width and vehicles parked on either side, compounded by the presence of the existing bend. Furthermore, waste services have also reported encountering challenges navigating around the bend.

Council is seeking feedback from residents in the vicinity of Murray Street on the proposal to extending the existing No Parking along the bend on Murray Street.

Council has recently received correspondence from residents highlighting ongoing difficulties in driving along Murray Street, primarily attributed to the narrow road width and vehicles parked on either side, compounded by the presence of the existing bend. Furthermore, waste services have also reported encountering challenges navigating around the bend.

In response to these concerns, we propose extending the No Parking Zone by 15 metres on either side of the existing No Parking area on the bend of Murray Street. This measure aims to alleviate congestion and improve traffic flow in the area.

Council is now seeking your comments on this proposal.

Residents can monitor the progress of the proposal by reviewing the agenda of the Traffic Committee meeting. Meetings are typically held every two months and published on Council’s website.
