Consultation has concluded

Council is seeking feedback on a proposal to change the existing Parking Restriction across from Porters Liquor store on east side of Kenneth Street.

This proposal aims to facilitate better parking availability for local businesses. As part of this proposal, a section of the existing ‘30 Min Parking' Zone; 8 AM to 6 PM; Mon – Fri’ will be changed to accommodate the new parking restriction.

What is being proposed?

We propose the installation of a 15metre long '15 Min Parking' Zone; 8 AM to 6 PM; Mon – Fri’ on east side of Kenneth Street south of Northwood Road as per the attached sketch. This would replace the existing 30 Min Parking.

Benefits of the proposal

  • Encourages higher parking turnover, benefiting local businesses.
  • Prevents long-term parking.
  • Ensures short-term parking availability during peak hours.
