Sustainability Action Plan

Background

Lane Cove Council has a long-standing commitment to sustainability, and it is an integral part of how we operate as an organisation. Council adopted its first Sustainability Action Plan (SAP) in 2005, and since then has made significant progress in incorporating sustainability into our programs and activities and responding to the challenges presented to our environment and our community.

Council is now exhibiting the Outcomes Report against our most recent Sustainability Action Plan 2022-2025, and the Draft Sustainability Action Plan for 2026-2030.

2022 - 2025 Sustainability Action Plan Outcomes Report

The Outcomes Report highlights the activities and programs implemented against the 2022 - 2025 Sustainability Action Plan, and our progress towards achieving the adopted goals. A copy of this Report can be download from the right-hand side of this page.

Draft Sustainability Action Plan 2026 - 2030

The Draft Sustainability Action Plan 2026-2030 has been developed to build on the achievements and learnings of our previous plans and provides the framework from which Council will continue to lead by example and support our community in taking collective action towards a sustainable future. We are seeking feedback from the community on the Draft Plan to ensure that it aligns with community interests and priorities.

Council is inviting the community to review the Draft Sustainability Action Plan and provide feedback. You can either:

• Complete the short survey below, or
• Provide a written submission to Council via emailing sustainability@lanecove.nsw.gov.au, reference SU10535

Council will review your feedback and provide a report addressing your feedback at the April 2026 Council meeting.
