What is being proposed?
We are proposing to install a speed cushion on Dorritt Street before the ‘Stop’ signs at Little Street and Rothwell Crescent, Lane Cove.
Recent traffic counts on Dorritt Street recorded 243 vehicles travelling at more than 50-km/hr and 25 vehicles travelling at more than 60-km/hr over a one-week period. Also, many vehicles are not stopping or slowing down at the Stop signs.
Benefits of the proposal
Alert drivers they are approaching the Stop sign and to slow down and stop.
Encourage vehicles to slow down while travelling along Dorritt Street.
Improve vehicle and pedestrian safety for all road users.
