Council has received concerns regarding traffic safety and restricted visibility for vehicles exiting driveways along River Road between Nos. 47 and 71. River Road is a busy regional road with high traffic volumes during peak hours, and vehicles parked close to driveways can obstruct sight lines, creating safety risks for motorists.

What is being proposed?

Council proposes to amend the existing ‘No Stopping’ (3PM – 7PM, Mon–Fri) restrictions to ‘No Stopping’ (7AM – 9:30AM and 3PM – 7PM, Mon–Fri) along River Road between Nos. 47 and 71.

This change would extend the morning restriction to cover peak traffic periods while retaining on-street parking availability for residents outside of these times.
