NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO GRANT A LEASE ON COMMUNITY LAND

GALUWA RECREATION CENTRE (formerly Lane Cove Sport and Recreation Centre)

Pursuant to section 47 of the Local Government Act 1993, Lane Cove Council hereby provides public notice that it intends, at the expiration of 28 days after the date of publication of this notice, to grant a lease of the Premises and incorporated licence to use and manage the Golf Course, to Sydney Sports Management Group Pty Ltd (ABN 52 621 961 377) in respect of the land specified in Schedule 1 (below), for the Term and Purpose specified in Schedule 2 (below).

SCHEDULE 1 – Description of Land

The Galuwa Recreation Centre (formerly Lane Cove Sport and Recreation Centre) and Golf Course located at 180 River Road, Lane Cove.

Lands on which the Galuwa Recreation Centre and Golf Course are located, include the following folio identifiers:

SCHEDULE 2 - Nature of Proposal

Council proposes to issue the lease and incorporated licence to Sydney Sports Management Group Pty Ltd (ABN 52 621 961 377).

Term: the term of the proposed lease and incorporated licence is five (5) years (with an additional five (5) year option), commencing 1 January 2026 and expiring on 31 December 2030.

Purpose: The Lease is proposed to be granted for the use and management of the Galuwa Recreation Centre (excluding food, beverage and events). The licence incorporated in the Lease is proposed to be granted for the use, operation and management of the Golf Course.
