Help us to upgrade a park for you. Providing feedback will give Council a better idea of what the community needs. Nichols Reserve is due for an upgrade under the Lane Cove Council Park Strategy, with a particular focus on updating the play equipment.
Background
Isaac Nichols (1770 – 1819) was granted land in this vicinity in 1810 which he leased for timber-getting, farming and grazing. He arrived as a convict in 1791 and later was appointed Superintendent of Public Works, Postmaster and Principal Superintendent of Convicts.
Located on Burns Bay Road, Nichols Reserve is a small neighbourhood park. The shady park currently features a swing set, play unit, drinking fountain and is fully fenced.
