Extension of ‘No Stopping’ on the Eastern Side of Greenwich Road south of Chisholm Street

Council is seeking feedback on a proposal to increase the length of ‘No Stopping’ on the eastern side of Greenwich Road south of Chisholm Street by approximately 12 metres – see plan included as above image/in the resident notification letter.

What is being proposed?

The proposal is to increase the length of 'No Stopping' on the eastern side of Greenwich Road, south of Chisholm Street by approximately 12 metres.

Benefits of the proposal

  • Improves the sight distance for southbound traffic on Greenwich Road to see vehicles and buses heading north that tend to cross the centreline when rounding the bend.
  • Improves the safety of vehicles parking on the eastern side of Greenwich Road south of Chisholm Street from being hit by southbound vehicles.

Consultation closes Sunday 15 September 2024.

Residents can monitor the progress of the proposal by reviewing the agenda of the Traffic Committee meeting. Meetings are typically held every two months and published on Council’s website.

The agenda contains projects that, following community consultation, are progressed to the Traffic Committee for consideration and Council for a final decision. The Traffic Committee agendas and minutes can be accessed by the link below.
