Sustainability Lane Waste to Art Competition - win $100

Calling artists of all ages! Do you have small items lying around at home? Buttons that have fallen off? Bottle caps you've been collecting? CD's no longer used? Now's the time to re-purpose these items and win. With $100 up for grabs for first place, it's time to put these items to good use. Each artwork submitted will be on showcase at Sustainability Lane at the Lane Cove Council Sustainability tent. On the day, ALL Sustainability Lane attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite work!

What do I need to do?

Source any small bits of waste you have lying around at home to turn it into an artwork. All artworks must be created on an A4 piece of paper, with the intention of these being hung on the wall. We will accept some sculptures; however, these must fit within dimensions 21 x 30 x 15 cm. Essentially, it must fit on to an A4 piece paper, and up to 15cm in height.

How do I submit it?

Artwork submissions are open from 4th September to 8th October. Submit your details in this survey so we know to expect your artwork. Once the artwork is finished, bring it down to the front desk at Council Chambers. Make sure to include your NAME and EMAIL on the back of the artwork so we are able to contact you for the prize.

How can I win?

All submitted artworks will be displayed in a 'Gallery' at the Council Sustainability tent in Sustainability Lane. Anyone who visits the gallery will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite artwork. The winner of the competition will take out a $100 gift card!
