Council uses CCTV and other surveillance cameras in some public spaces and Council facilities to help keep our community safe and protect Council assets.

We have developed a Draft Surveillance Camera Policy to provide clear and consistent rules about how cameras are installed, used and managed, including how footage is stored and accessed and how people's privacy is protected.

The draft Policy also covers newer technology, such as automatic number plate recognition.

We'd like to hear what you think. Read the draft Policy and share your feedback during the public exhibition period.
