Lane Cove Council is reviewing and updating its Use of Public Spaces Policy to ensure our plaza, footpaths, and community spaces remain welcoming, inclusive, safe, and well-managed for all users.
Public spaces play a vital role in supporting community life in Lane Cove. They host everything from quiet reflection and recreation to festivals, fitness groups, pop-up markets, performances, and cultural celebrations. As our village centre evolves and our community grows, it’s important that we balance a wide range of needs - whether it’s accessibility, commercial activity, cultural expression, or simply finding space to sit and connect.
We are seeking feedback from residents, businesses, and community groups to help shape a fair and future-focused policy that guides how these spaces are shared and used.
Your feedback will help us develop a policy that ensures our public spaces remain vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable for all. The draft policy will be released later this year for further public comment.
Have your say today and help shape the future of Lane Cove’s shared spaces.
