We invite the community to provide feedback on the Draft Councillor Meetings with Registered Lobbyists and Property Developers Policy.

The policy plays a pivotal role to establish the conduct and requirements for the Mayor and Councillors when engaging with registered lobbyists and property developers. It is in the public interest that lobbying is fair and does not undermine public confidence in impartial decision-making. This policy aims to ensure community expectations are met in relation to ethical and transparent lobbying of Councillors.

The Draft Policy incorporates procedures by which Lane Cove Councillors will be required to publicly disclose and keep a record of their meetings with property developers and registered lobbyists on Council’s website.

The Draft Policy includes three reporting forms, those being:

  • Councillor Record of Meeting Request with Registered Lobbyists and Property Developers Disclosure Form
  • Councillor Quarterly Disclosure Report of Meetings with Registered Lobbyists and Property Developers Form; and
  • Quarterly Disclosure Report of Councillor Attended Meetings with Registered Lobbyists and Property Developers arranged by Council Staff Form.

The Draft Policy and associated documents are available under documents.
