Proposal for the Extension of No Stopping Restriction - Centennial Avenue at Arding Street, Lane Cove North

Council is seeking feedback on a proposal extend the existing ‘No Stopping’ restriction on Centennial Avenue, near the intersection with Arding Street.

Background

An existing 17.5 metre ‘No Stopping’ restriction is in place on Centennial Avenue at the Arding Street intersection. Council has received concerns from local residents that vehicles parked beyond this restriction are blocking sightlines, making it difficult to see approaching traffic. Council officers have also noted the presence of heavy vehicles parking on Centennial Avenue and travelling through the area, also contributes to restricted visibility and road safety concerns.

What is being proposed?

Council is proposing to extend the existing ‘No Stopping’ zone restriction on Centennial Avenue at Arding St by approximately 62.5 metres southwards, continuing from the current restriction to the driveway of No. 31 Centennial Avenue.
