Lane Cove Bicycle Plan 2026

Lane Cove is renewing its 2019 Bicycle Plan. The 2026 Bicycle Plan will set out an updated vision for cycling in Lane Cove and an action plan for our priority routes for the next 10 years.

As part of the review, Council is undertaking community consultation in various forms which will play an important role in guiding the project’s early direction. This is an important opportunity to help craft Council’s blueprint for more sustainable transport options in Lane Cove.

What consultation is being proposed?

  • Online survey
  • Pop-up stall on Sunday 15 February 2026 at The Canopy during Lane Cove Makers Market 9:00am - 3:00pm
  • Community Workshop on Monday 16 February in the Cove Room at Lane Cove Council 6:00pm - 8:00pm
  • Bicycle Advisory Committee Workshop
  • Public Exhibition at Draft Bike Plan Stage

How can you get involved?

Online survey

We would love to hear feedback from current and potential riders in Lane Cove to identify key concerns. You can take the survey here or on the page below.

Plot on our interactive map locations where you'd like to see more paths or share areas of concern with existing paths. Participate by clicking "Interactive Map" below.

The survey and map will close on 26 February 2026.

Pop-up stall

Receive a free coffee voucher by coming along to our pop-up stall and providing your feedback on your cycling experience in Lane Cove.

The pop-up stall will be held on:

  • Sunday, 15 February in The Canopy between 9am-3pm

Community Workshop

We are looking for 10-15 community members (riders and non-riders) to participate in a 2-hour interactive workshop. The workshop will allow us to better understand the specific transport concerns held by Councillors and the community as well as their aspirations related to cycling. Light refreshments will be provided for attendees.

The workshop will be held on:

  • Monday, 16 February in the Cove Room at Lane Cove Council between 6-8pm.

To register your interest in the workshop please visit this link.

Public Exhibition at Draft Bike Plan Stage

Following the initial engagement, the Draft Bicycle Plan will be developed and will form the basis for the second round of engagement. Once endorsed by Council, it will proceed to public exhibition stage for broader community feedback for a period of 6 weeks.

While the core content will already be in place, the feedback gathered will allow us to fine-tune any final recommendations and ensure they reflect the community’s needs and priorities.

Once a draft Bike Plan has been developed, the website will be updated with further information on how you can make a submission during public exhibition.

N.B. Both the interactive map and survey are open until 26 February. Please click the tool you would like to use below.
