About This Proposal
Lane Cove Council is considering closing the northern section of Anglo Road, Greenwich, between Pacific Highway and the cul-de-sac.
This notification and associated submissions are part of the formal road closure process under Section 38B and 38C of the Roads Act 1993.
All adjacent properties have received this correspondence, and a Public Notice has also been published on Council's website.
What Is Being Proposed?
Closure of the northern section of Anglo Road
The section proposed for closure currently has no through vehicular access
This section of road currently provides access to garages at 126 Pacific Highway and 130–134 Pacific Highway
Pedestrian access will be maintained between Pacific Highway and the lower part of Anglo Road
The proposed road closure area is shown in the shaded area in Figure 1 above.
What Will Happen to the Road?
Under the proposal, the existing roadway would be redeveloped as a public domain area. This means:
Enhanced public space for residents and visitors
Pedestrian access maintained through the area
